oh i remember both System Shock 1 and 2. one of my most favorite games of all time.

still clearly remember roaming the ship like crazy searching for those hidden numbers(in paintings etc.) codes to align the dish for transmission and stuff. it was exhausting.

the 'rickenbacker' and 'von braun'. oh yes i do remember.

and u're right...they were the inspiration behind Bioshock 1 amd 2.

System Shock 2 one of the best FPS RPGs out ever, was a shame it wouldn't work at all after XP SP2.

It started a lot of redesign of the engine to get it to work, but none came close, I shall try this out later... would be good to get on it again.
Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

    Clicky Here for them

yea...it is a shame. ever so often i start to think about it and want to play. but makes me sad to think those days r long gone. if only i had an older machine to play it on.

i'm curious if it will run on Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit

It does play on windows 7 64 bits, i have that myself and tested the game, it runs flawless, no crashes, even and it looks great in 1920x1080 res.
