Something I learned from the first game using WillowTree, each weapon has a level. If while editing I increased the level of a gun, it's stats would vastly improve.
Is there any way to do this with editing?

Not until we get some sort of save editor, no. I know Gibbed is working on his atm, so it shouldn't be too long.
