I watched the video for the iPhone 5 on their website, and as I sat through listening to all of their "Innovative" ideas, I realized that my Motorola RAZR running Android 4.0.4 already has everything they added.

I have not been a fan of the iPhone series since the start, and I have never purchased an Apple product. That being said, I do have an iPod Touch 4G, but I got it from my girlfriend.

I don't like iOS, personally. I have problems with it all the time, and it's locked up tight. I believe that you couldn't even change your background until iOS 4... every phone I have ever owned could do that..

As for their hardware, I agree that the only new thing about it is the A6 chip. But that just means it's better than all other iPhones..not all other smartphones.

I am going to stick with my Android phone. Apple is just playing catchup with Google, anyways. They have been ever since Google acquired Android. That being said, if I owned an iPhone, and I planned to continue to throw money away for Apple products, I would probably get the iPhone 5. Though with RIM's BlackBerry OS 10 coming out next year, I would get that before I got an iPhone.

ok but the question is if those "catch up" improvements are significant enough to upgrade from iphone 4..

actually the mainly reason why i chose iphone from the first place is because of the ios, i find the android a clumsy operating system and truly repulsive visual wise

I had windows before my iphone, and due to a mishap at training, and the lack of stock at the only phone outlet in no where zone, I grabbed an iphone 4. If it wasn't for the amount of cash I have spent on iOS apps i would probably move back to Windows, which, I liked better due to the zune pass(music), and the fact that the games counted on achievements, unlike iOS(game center is crap).

OK well first of all i have had other phones before i bought the IPhone 4S and i have to say it blows them out of the water in build quality, usability and performance.

I had a Samsung galaxy 2 and it was crap in comparison the the iPhone i got just three months later. other people hate apple phones for the same reason they hate people who sit in Costa coffee writing in public on their mac books, because the iPhone is not just a phone its seen as a fashion accessory. that being said that wasn't the question asked about weather or not to get an IPhone or a cheaper equivalent he asked if he should upgrade to the new one.

IMO if you reach the end of your contract then yes i definatley would upgrade that being said if you are half way through a contract like me i will not be shelling out £600 to go and buy and unlocked one.

The new features are quite extensive and some of them can seem abit like they should of been on there all the time but how anyone thinks that's a reason not to buy it i have no idea, i mean its a reason to not to buy the ones that dont have it, but that argument means you don't buy new and upgraded things as they are better than the old ones and you wish it had come out a year ago

Nobody really cares about the features much, Jimmy Kimmel did a test where they took an IPhone 4s on the streets and presented it as the new IPhone 5, people fell for it thinking it was the new one thinking it was lighter than their 4s, HD screen quality etc lol

I never owned or wanted to own an iPhone (I only require a phone that calls and has 2GB for music) but anyway I've checked the previous iPhones that my friends have, and judging from the video on Apple's website, no significant changes at all, I guess innovations have limits? (assuming they were innovative in the first place )
