So I've been playing for a while and I'm above soul level 60. I saw in preview gameplay from GameSpot of them playing in the new DLC area The Abyss. They were given level 60 characters to choose from to take on the new are and is recommended level so, how do I even get there? Does anyone know yet? When I search on google I get a bunch articles from pre-release and stuff about when the content is released for consoles.

From my understanding, you have to kill a special Crystal Golem at the Duke's Archives, head to Darkroot Basin, go to where the Hydra is, and rescue Dusk of Oolacille. I'll just link the Wiki, as you can click each part and get actual info Link

Actually, if what I've heard is correct you don't have to rescue Dusk first. Evidently you do have to kill the Hydra in order to spawn the Crystal Golem that drops the item that opens the portal to Ooalcile, however.

Kill the Hydra in Darkroot Basin, reload the game, go back to where you killed the Hydra but hug the left wall with the waterfall whiling walking toward the back, kill the Golden Golem and rescue the girl, head to Duke's Archive and kill the stray Golem and receive a pendant. Now go back to where you killed the Golden Golem and you should see a black portal to enter the DLC area.
