Game freezing - GPU problems

ELITEsanjin posted on Aug 22, 2012 7:09:11 AMAnybody experiencing game crashes or freezes? I tried running the game on extreme settings but it overheats my GPU and comp just shuts off. I then toned it down to high setting but the game freezes after 30min of gameplay.
I was wondering if anybody else has issues?
My GPU is nvidia gtx-580. -

The AA gives the heaviest impact on fps and still looks terrible. On my system it cuts to a third (no aa 60-70, full aa 20-25). I also turned off the shadows to go easy on my ati card. It's still hot but doesn't crash anymore.Better to reign in hell, than to serve in heaven. -

ELITEKraken posted on Aug 22, 2012 10:54:30 AMMy game doesn't crash, it just lags like crazy for a while, and most of the time the videos are out of sync with the audio, but it's still playable, unless you're in a race . -
ELITEDragoneye posted on Aug 22, 2012 1:55:05 PMGame has been crashing like crazy....until I took my two nvidea 550Ti's out of SLI config. I have no idea why that helped and it no longer crashes as long as I use my video cards with SLI disabled...go figureIt's all in the......whoops! -
