TRUST. I continue to pay for CH services because I TRUST (not expect) that CH will have day 1 trainers and stay reasonably up to date on the lastest games, and to their credit, they usually deliver
The jerks that make abusive comments to the staff are EXPECTING day 1 trainers, perfect trainers immediate updates; they feel entitled.....
CH is run by humans, not cyborgs with no need to sleep, have a social life, etc. Just because someone has a paid membership does not give them the right to make abusive comments to the staff, they are not your slaves.
So yes, HELL YES, members that continually berate the staff should be given a vacation, and if need be, a permanent banning.
Please define "Social Life" i am unaware what this is. However as for the banning of rude/inconsiderate users i say no sorta. I think a temp ban/suspension ( depending on your preference in term ) would be more appropriate except where it is directed straight at staff or is so out of line its what needs to be done.

I personally don't think about banning a member unless he crosses a certain limit. And you can trust me that I've had loads of members not agreeing with my moderator warnings and making an argument about it. I would only encourage such arguments unless they get ugly. If a member isn't polite with the staff, and carries on abusing them, I would definitely holster my banhammer!

u mean...un-holster ur ban-hammer
My example wasn't here. It was a "DS code site", which I won't name atm...lol. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear on that point.
Like I said, I've had a great experience here. And the mods I've seen have all had way more patience than I would have in their shoes. I was just trying to make a general point about stricter rules only working in a trustful enviroment.
Oh, ok, I apologize for misunderstanding what you meant. I definitely see where you are coming from, and I also agree about the whole "trustful environment" concept.
