TRUST. I continue to pay for CH services because I TRUST (not expect) that CH will have day 1 trainers and stay reasonably up to date on the lastest games, and to their credit, they usually deliver

The jerks that make abusive comments to the staff are EXPECTING day 1 trainers, perfect trainers immediate updates; they feel entitled.....

CH is run by humans, not cyborgs with no need to sleep, have a social life, etc. Just because someone has a paid membership does not give them the right to make abusive comments to the staff, they are not your slaves.

So yes, HELL YES, members that continually berate the staff should be given a vacation, and if need be, a permanent banning.

Its not a case of what people expect, when a new game is released CHU doe's its utmost to get these new Trainers out as FAST as possible,Now if we have members who purchase the game on release date and expect CHU to have that games Trainer ready and waiting for them, then these members live in Cloud CUCKOO land.

I cannot understand these members who expect Champagne and Caviar for the price of their membership, they really get up my nose, and these members need to Grow up and be Adult about this site.

The CHU staff from the TOP to the BOTTOM must get really watered off with these WINGERS so i say again PLEASE be Adult about your moan's and groan's.

    Patience is a Virtue.

i voted NO...because i think its a bit harsh and gives the Nay Sayers more ammo.

as LM47 rightly says...we can always go toe to toe with this rowdy bunch and make them understand that their behavior will not be supported and tolerated by the majority. they'll end up looking pretty silly themselves.

yes..Team CH does a fantastic job...and to me it does appear thankless some of the time. we should counter such perceptions by repeatedly telling them and everybody else that the majority loves them, respects them and their tireless hard work and supports them.

this is a big and wonderful gaming community that does not and should not rely on draconian measures to maintain order, positivity and show off support.

I think if a member is being belligerent repeatedly on the message boards, towards staff or other members, they should have those privileges of posting revoked. But an all-out BAN seems a bit too much. A temporary suspension of certain privileges, message boards and/or access to files, is certainly acceptable in quite a few instances I'm sure, but I wouldn't want CH to feel like a mine field where any misplaced step could result in account loss.

Being a lifetime member, be that for years and years or if you just finished with the pay-pal payment, should be just that... a lifetime member. A restricted lifetime member is acceptable if your social behavior deems you unworthy of being social in the community. A lifetime ban of a lifetime membership should only be for heinous infringement of the TOS, theft, hacking, or putting up polls about banning... errr I mean, repeated suspensions/privilege revokes.

That said, people should be more respectful and thoughtful of others in the community and that community's owners/operators. After all, we are all here for the same reason, to cheat the **** out of games we love to ****ing play and we do that through the tireless efforts of those who host this site.

Very true. However, I can't count the games I tried to find cheats for on here only to find a retired comment, because a single idiot decided to go whining or spouting abusive language. Now you might say banning is a harsh punishment for the offenders, but the current response punishes not the offenders, but those customers who actually are polite and are paying for this service. Now I appreciate all the work this staff is doing, and I pay them for that, but I would really like to see measures that hurt the ones that cause the grief, not everyone else.( Oh P.S. As a born American I resent that remark about us sueing everyone. Not that it's untrue, but it's our god given right to sue the pants off of everyone :P www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeXQBHLIPcw )

Honestly, I agree with what Latios said. If you really want to make an impact, make posts supporting the staff and trainers just as much, and more if possible, than those complaining. From what I've seen most of the complaints are just generic "My trainer isn't working! *inserthoardesofsmileyshere*" posts. While the problem is usually just them using the wrong trainer version etc., I'm sure if the staff hears nothing but a steady stream of complaints, they're more likely to retire a trainer. So how about just trying to be as supportive and understanding of these guys as you can. They work hard, their work is never easy, and they put out excellent products.

If the moderators and admins see something that they would class as flaming/spamming (which is against the TOS anyway), they will take the necessary action anyway. I think a new rule isn't really necessary but if it gets worse, maybe a sticky on that particular board reminding people of the rules? Idk, just my thoughts.

It's not so much about the rules for me, but the people who end up enforcing them. I'll give an example.

I was reading one of the ds codesites for AR codes. (NOT this site. I won't name the site, but it wasn't here btw) Demonic had made very few codes for this game b/c it was just coming out. Then here comes this moderator with such posts as, "I don't know why we don't have codes for this game already."; "Is it really that difficult?"; "Couldn't you speed things up a bit?".

Obviously the moderator didn't know jack about making codes at all. Demonic told him off a bit and abandoned the game and the thread. And I signed up to the forum and called the moderator out for treating codemakers that way and chasing them out of the threads.

Then he bans me for life for being, "rude".

So strict rules only work if you trust the staff not to be *******s. It comes down to this: Do you know every moderator on this staff? Do you trust them to use rules fairly? Will any future new moderators use the rules fairly?

If the answer is yes, then by all means give them more power.

If the answer is no, then giving more power may backfire.

But I love this site, and really like most everyone I've ran into. So I'd say yes. But your poll question is different from the thread subject, so I had to vote no. :P
