Just got the game after waiting for it to drop in price due to lack of funds. I already played Witcher and it's still on my hard drive. Anyone have any idea of advantages/disadvantages of using your Witcher 1 character? I remember my character sided with the humans so I know I pee'd off the Elves/Dwarfs?? I don't want to hop in the game with 5 hours under my belt to realize I should of started off vanilla. Any help and comments are welcome.

    Thanks In Advance!!!!

If you are worried about frayed alliances, then I would suggest starting without an imported character. Personally, I imported and did not notice any glaring variances in interactions with the races. Of course, I sided with the elves in the original title.
That is the smartest thing I have ever heard anyone say about anything.

There is no difference in Alliances or In-game story if you import a character or not.
The W2 is a whole new story.

Btw,i sided with the Scoia'tel(Elves and Dwarves) as well.

I went the neutral route in the original. Not sure what it changes overall though. Have a save for every ending from the first one so I may have to revisit the game and check it out.
