Witcher, The (Enhanced) Message Board  

I recently purchased the witcher 1 enhanced edition as well as the witcher 2 enhanced edition on steam as there was an awesome deal for both roughly a week or two ago. Basically the trainer 1.5 crashes my game to desktop 5 out 6 times when i load into any new area,house what have you. I looked thru the files for witcher 1 EE and the only steam specific one was a version 1.4.5.1282. Anyone else play witcher 1 EE on steam with a working trainer? If so could ya tell me which version works for steam. I have a feeling none do but i felt i should ask. I know Pwiz and Cal and the rest of the trainer staff are super busy and i never ever ask for a trainer. But since this game most likely isnt going to updated on steam any further to my knowledge, I would humbly request if its at all possible that a final steam version 1.5 be created. I understand you guys/girls are super busy. And i personally would wait till whenever you guys had the time to make one that works. But i personally would apperciate it, i respect the work all the trainer staff does and i detest asking for a trainer for an old game since you guys work so darn much, but i and im sure a few others would like a final steam Witcher 1 EE trainer. But if it isnt possible,i understand. Thanks for taking the time to read my request

Right click the main .exe file, goto properties and check the details tab, there it should say which version of the game you have. Failing that, starting the game up with no trainer and checking the main menu usually shows the version number installed.

Thanks for answering Dab, yeah its 1.5.####. Not at my computer at the moment but I remember it was 1.5 something. Ill check when I get off work. I tried both trainers the 1.5 & the last steam one both ctd on loading areas.

Ok just got home from work the file is 1.5.0.1304.

yea Dab, it was corrupted save files from using an incompatible trainer and then saving. Gonna have to play this one without a trainer, unfortunately. But thanks for your help.
