LMFAO Sorry, but I can't help but laugh at all of you who bought Diablo 3. You all just couldn't help yourselves could you? You b**** about single player requiring an online connection to play, but you all just told them it was okay to do that when you bought the game and at a $60 price tag at that; making them a freaking fortune. So what do you think they are going to do now with the next game they make that you really want to play?! Answer: They're going to make it require a permanent online connection to do single player again! DUH!!! And you're all just going to bend over and take it without lube again. The thing that ****es me off though is now other developers are going to see Blizzards success despite using this method of DRM and copy it and make it standard practice with every game that comes out. Good work, Sheep. I would bet big money at least half of you wouldn't have even bought it, let alone "enjoyed" this sad excuse for a game in 2012 if you weren't brain washed into thinking you want it by all the insane hype.

The reason this type of DRM is being used is because others have failed in the past, and people being greedy and money orientated will continue to steal software.

Seems like you haven't played it, and are calling the game a "sad excuse" wow. The game is designed and plays well. And you think your opinion counts on this game? How can you have an opinion on how good or bad a game is if you haven't played it.

Diablo 3 wasn't the first game to ever use Online DRM. So your facts are wrong there also in insinuating that D3 is the first and that other publishers will follow suit.

Calling people Sheep for buying software in the hopes it will keep the market open and viable is pretty petty and childish, by your reaction and the way you talk and the way you also believe the hype from warez users, means you yourself are a wares user. Look who is the sheep now, only warez users are blind in their beliefs that what they do is a right, and they will blindly use the excuses that has been around since the advent of the modern internet.

Maybe less bragging and manning up and perhaps read up and research things before making yourself look foolish, might be in order

the lag is terrible you americans whing when its up to 200ms well on the other side of the world i can not get below 400ms and running around 1000ms is the norm so boohoo to you

Well i have just got a new broadband connection which is fast for me(10mb down 5mb up and ping70ms)it was .4mb down .1mb up and ping 400ms-2000ms on my old connection so i thought id give d3 another go imagine my frustration when the ping was the same 400ms-1000ms,so come on blizzard treat all the servers equally im on asia server

Just remember it doesn't always come down to the servers being at fault for poor latency, it can be the ISP or any other server in between you and the game server, that is out of the control of your ISP and Blizzard.

But at least ISP's can change the flow of traffic to take different routes, if you do a tracert www.blizzard.com or any other local blizzard website address, being wow-europe.com etc. Check the hops and see where the latency is coming from.

Earlier DRM has been very effective for Blizzard's past games though. Nobody cares about the single player aspects of the old games and you absolutely must have a a proper CD Key to access the classic battle.net service. Blizzard has even stated that they supported ICCUP's server even though it does not required a legal CD Key considering it a very important factor in e-Sports.
    Your bitterness, I will dispel

Its the one of choice though, as it is easily monitored and can be changed quite easily also. And with Digital Distribution being the main choice these days on buying software, it kinda goes hand in hand.

Even online DRM doesn't give 100% protection, but it does give a reasonable time for the publisher/developer to get money from release before its broken.

Just only recently there has been a dodgey private server emulator for D3. But it still took them a while, but one thing is for sure it will never be as complete as the real retail, and lacks the support also.

First off; My opinion and comments of the game are based on many game play videos, screen shots, player descriptions, and critic reviews, as well as having friends who beta tested it, so your "CHILDISH" comments about manning up or ASSumptions about warez are invalid. Second; NO people did NOT even remotely begin to buy this game "in the hopes it will keep the market open and viable" and even thinking that is ridiculously hilarious. People in general do not think about things like that, let alone spend $60 for a noble, but unrealistic sentiment. Third; as others have stated after my comment, older DRMs were effective. Besides it's doesn't justify single player needing a permanent connection. Watch it become a more common practice in the future, because of Blizzard's success and more people will struggle to play the games they payed their hard earned money for.
