Anyone can agree with me that the answer is 28? If so, how did you figure it out?

n2=7 n4=14 n6=21 n7=28

The answer is 28. Every third number you add either 3 or 7 starting by adding 3 and alternating to 7 then back to 3. Example, 3+3=6, 7+7=14 and so on.
