    Of course, IMO it shows how much the person has experience in the website, that which brings respect.

    It's been a long time coming.

    The general consensus seems to be quality over quantity.
    But the only thing that is displayed in the avatars is the postcount and a set of stars ( which is based on postcount )

    If quality is the more valued aspect, perhaps CH should display only the up/down votes in the avatar. Similar to the karma-display some sites currently have.

    I generally don't even look at post count. There are times when it catches my eye. Generally, higher post counts are less important to me than lower post counts. I like to keep an eye on those with lower post counts, as that usually indicates newer members.
