Just went to look through what I can pilfer off GAME, and to be perfectly honest their stock of games truly sucks. Usually there's a huge amount of pre-owned stock with people trading in games so much these days, but most games I checked out were out of stock.

I think the easy solution is to pre-order (and pre-load) from origin, digital edition means that on the previous day you pre-load and on the midnight you begin playing!!!! no having to wait an hour longer, no worries that there will not be enough copies to go around...

Is Game the UK equivalent of GameStop or are they both owned by the same company but under different names?

That really sucks for the people that pre-ordered the N7 Collector's Edition. It might be easier to start shopping at Amazon.

I can't speak for everyone else, but when it comes to collectors editions, if I'm going to fork out the extra money I want to fork it out on a physical copy. Yes, you get most of the same stuff in both versions, but to me getting the physical art book, the special steelbook, and any little extras which come with it like the N7 patch, etc etc, make it feel like I've actually spent that extra money on something worthwhile.

A digital collectors edition isn't really worth it in my opinion, and I'll only get the digital version in cases where the only extras you get with a CE is DLC and nothing extra physically.

    Oh, and @fullmetal5550:
GAME is basically our UK equivalent of GameStop, or EB aye. I don't think they're owned by the same people though.

Game and Gamestation are owned by GAME Group and are the equivalent to GameStop but GameStop is not owned by the same company as Game and Gamestation. It now looks like Play.com might not be taking anymore Pre-orders now. Got an email today from Play.com.

I got that email too. I was gonna say... I'm pretty sure it's always been the 9th for the UK.

Ah hell, I just checked the ME3 N7 page after you posted that and it looks like you're right, there's no order button available. Hopefully that just means with the influx of pre-orders from GAME customers they've accounted for all of their available stock, and not that they're about to pull it too.

I'm glad I found out about GAME pulling ME3 before the email got sent out yesterday. I got my replacement pre-order in before most people knew about it. If I'd waited to see if GAME pulled it together I'd have lost out.

I think it's safe to say though, that between dividing up GAME's stock between Play, Amazon, and the other two I can't think of, and pre-orders greatly exceeding that of ME2 and expectations, it's probably just stock issues. You'd think a company like EA would have been prepared for a massive success with this title. Then again, it is EA.

I just checked the EA update page, and they're going to announce the plans for the N7 Warfare pack DLC we were going to get with our GAME pre-order (not part of the N7 edition) some time today.

I could not believe that they where failing. If I knew that I would have done it earlier like ya said. Am quiet sad and disappointed in GAME Group. They where always good for the stuff I got. Shame.

I hope play.com has done it right and can cope with the influx. I spoke to me mate just below the boarders about the situation and she said Play.com can be late with there Deliverers. By as much as two days. I was like meh as long as I get it and its got all the gear I payed for and its unmolested.

I would not get a DDE of any game its not worth it in my books. When I pay that extra bit of cash and I mean extra. Not another £100 on top of the game like some CE I have seen and wanted but refused to pay that large amount. I go for the CE cause of the neat extra stuff its a neat little mark in gaming history in my books and I rarely get CE of games unless I really think there worth it and are good in my books to.

Is EB short for Electronic Boutique or something like that? Oh and also I noticed that GAME is big in Australia from what I read.

EA's updated their update page (Updateception) saying four of the suppliers are out of stock, including Play.com (though they say to check back later with that).

EB is Electronics Boutique, aye. GAME expanded their business into other countries, which is one of the things I mentioned. They should have pulled back and concentrated on the UK market.
