agreed. in fact when i played demo my first thought was woot edi ship, see ship WTF we back on SR1 drat, brain clicks, wait we on SR3 if sr1 was destroyed, ooh boo no cerberus upgrades. i then read about EDI and was like woot she in game but i want my evil killing sadistic ship again.
was also fun to blame technical issues with ship on edi rather than game based flaws. (doors closing b4 i got in, cutscenes ppl walk into walls,etc)
EDI's body sounds like it'll be similar to when you take over the droid in Awakening. You're still Shepard, standing at the controls, but you can see through its eyes and control its movements. Same with EDI except she'll be able to talk through it also. Think of it like an extension.

I just seem to see like seven of nine when I think of EDI with a body. Which bugs me. Then theres some other robot like characters that where women and that just bugged me even more. I would prefer EDI in the ship rather than at my side nagging in my ear. Thats jokers job. I like the voice that comes from no where feeling. Just me I suppose.
