Can you guys test something for me?
NO TRAINER
Start a new Ironman game.
Single Player
High Middle Ages
William the Conquerer
Make Sure Iron Man Mode is on
Start Game
Let the game progress a month or two.
Select Resign to go back to the Main Menu (is this the way to save your ironman game for later?)
Close CK2
Run CK2
Load your Ironman Save
Note lower left it says Achievements Disabled
This has nothing to do with the trainer.
Can you confirm this?
best,
Cal
Hi Cal,
I did the above mentioned and while the load screen says that achievements disabled, when loaded into game and clicking on the top left features button and game rules, it still lists the achievements as enabled.
If I do the above and load/continue from menu screen launched from steam, it still has achievements enabled in that screen.
If I do the above and load the game, resign, load game file again, the lower left says achievements disabled, but when I start the file, the top left features and game rules lists the achievements as enabled.
If I do the above and then use the trainer, it seem to work with Increased Wealth, Prestige, Piety, and Score, but not the allow ironman console, but only if I use the allow console and type a code in. It happens if I turn it off before progressing a day or save as well.
Seems like a bug for the main load screen, but not in-game itself. The trainer seems to still affect the "actual" checksum for allowing achievements.
It changes the, "The save file must not have been changed" portion.
Hope that helps.
I tried a few different console commands and not all seem to disable the achievement check. Things like wealth or add_diplomacy to a character disable the check, but add_trait did not. Seems like it might be dependent on whether or not the command affects the save file.
tell me something I can do to
1) determine if the game I am playing has achievements enabled or disabled WHILE I am playing the game
2) something I can do that changes the enabled to disabled, and a way to see that it changed
then possibly I can update the trainer.
With that said, I have the trainer updated for the latest patch, and all options are working as intended, but I have no idea if it will disable the iron man achievements. The trainer does what it's supposed to do, let you type in commands in iron man mode.
best,
Cal
