Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Discussion
Trainer Tools and Resources
If i listened to other peoples' opinions, i wouldn't have bought mass effect.
I go by my own opinions only, reviews are pointless, in my opinion anyway.
When it comes to my choice of purchases, the only opinion that matters, is my own opinion.
I personally, love this game, the only bad point about it for me personally is the stealth in it, is severely lacking, i haven't cheated yet to get maxed out stealth, but skyrim is better at lower levels when doing stealth.
Since, when in stealth mode on Skyrim, if you move slowly behind the target they tend to never detect you, but on this game, they detect you regardless, which has forced me to just wear heavy armour and a 2h weapon.
In the end, my opinion is, that the game is good.
is a better bet, its only 20 minutes of said 6 hour stream, but it will give you his first impressions and show off the first few minutes of gameplay as a mage/rogu.. i mean finesse..
Looks interesting to me, but quite simple..
Simple isn't necessarily bad. Some of my favourite games have been rather simple, especially by today's standards.
I've only managed to play a few minutes after character creation so far, so I can't really comment on much, but I have enjoyed it. I don't know what the complaints about graphics were about, they look great to me with everything turned up high.
Character creation was simple, but not in a bad way. I find that too many customization options gets tedious as you try to fiddle the sliders to get what you want just right. Too few options and you may as well just give the player a pre-defined face for each class. This was in the middle- pre-defined faces, but enough of them and a few other options to be able to make something unique.
Also, I've seen a lot of complaints about the FOV in the game, but I personally don't see much of a problem with it. The camera in ME2 was much closer/narrower and I found that to be fine.
That's my two pence on the subject so far!
To me, after restarting (and knowing what the heck im doing) I'm enjoying it alot more.. combos are easier to pull off, I know which weapons I like and don't like and so forth..
But as fun as the game is, the quests are all the same if youve done them once.. for me, there isnt much replayability.
Graphics is good too, even better with the FXAA injector from skyrim.
I'm taken aback. It is not a simple game. The destinies/multiclassing system alone is enough to draw any spreadsheet nerds (*raises hand*) and is pretty much the same kind of system that makes up a quarter or more of any given D&D sourcebook.
Quests? Granted, it's not DA:O with grey and gray morality that challenges - and punishes - you for being a decent human being, or even TOR's "do quests, expect plot twists every time." But they're still interesting, and above all, fun. In fact, pretty much everything but the quests is pretty deep - a byproduct of the game being a singleplayer dry-run for an MMO, I imagine.
EDIT: I decided to get a GTX 560 instead of the 6850. Thank goodness they came down to $180!
