I'm stuck in the historia crux... the only two gates I have available are the first 2, but I cannot get the bresha ruins 005 af gate to open. when highlighted, the only options i get are to save or go to the menu. I can do the first episode over and over, but nothing else... I was in the middle of the bresha ruins area and had to quit playing so i saved. also just did the update, not sure if that will help figure out what is going on...

nvm... I'm an idiot apparently...
for anyone else that has this problem, the fix was to re-open the New Bodhum gate. apparently if it's closed you can't enter the bresha ruins... I'm going to assume that this would apply in other cases as well, closing an earlier gate may keep you from accessing a later one...
