SOPA and PIPA

    You won't be able. Things like ACTA are done secretly in EU, with no public press releases or any way people can affect the result.

    I don't believe this for a second.
    While the chances of ACTA passing are threatening, this doesn't mean people cannot protest against it. Even if it doesn't necessarily affect you primarily.

    No offence personally DABhand but i don't think you know very much about SOPA / PIPA or ACTA.......i think a lot of the users on here could stand to learn more about these laws and their potential to do more harm than good

    these laws have the potential to even shut down sites like this one......all it would take is a user on here to link to a site that contained pirated material.....yes these laws will make it so websites have to monitor all activity to prevent a violation

    why do you think companies like google amazon and wikipedia + 1000's more are so against SOPA / PIPA / ACTA it is because it will cost them a fortune and be impossible to monitor everything that happens on their sites.....it will kill user created content and the companies/websites that depend on it
