What they could do, is that you have to romance her, and then she will be like,"I'm glad you can see me for more than this *points at suit*" She tries to remove the mask, and you can say 2 different things, one that encourages her to remove her mask, thus revealing her face, or another that says you don't care what she has to wear, that you care for what's inside or w.e IDK something cheesy like that. Gives players a choice, and makes most if not everyone happy.

You are, Ashley has always worn light armor, and Has had Black hair. I don't know of a single blonde in Mass Effect. Even Miranda (who's face and voice actress is blonde)has black hair in the game.

I just looked it up to see if anyone else noticed, but - while they had noticed - most of the results were due to the contest BW held on the new look of FemShep. They all say the blonde won, but I'm pretty sure it was the redhead... and it's the redhead in all of the posters, the game cover... right? I'm not colour blind and only just finding out now right?
Actually Yvonne Strahovski the voice of Miranda is a brunette (her IMDB pic has her as a blonde but you can tell by her roots and eyebrows that she is most definitively not). Also the outfit you see Williams in during the demo isnt really armor. Look at at this trailer Link at like 2min 10secs in to see her in her real armor. It looks pretty beefy to me, especially from what we've seen the females in ME2 wear passing for armor.
Actually she's a blonde, they can have darker roots. Thats normal.
OT:
Due to the fact that Blond hair as well as light colored eyes is actually an anomaly (Brown eyes and dark hair is far more common)I can see it being extremely rare if not nearly impossible that far into the future. Kinda like Ginger hair will be in 50 years.
