Hey guys. I am trying to complete the quest where I become thane of Morthal but I think I believe I have hit some kind of gltich. I supposed to help 3 people to become thane (like in Dawnstar etc...) but my counter seems to be broken.
I've already killed the vampire and delivered the letter but my counter is still telling me ive helped 0 people. Is this a known glitch? Can I fix it? Or am I stuck with yet another Misc quest which I'll likely never beable to fix unless bethesda happen across it by some miracle?
Please let me know if anyone can help.

I have same sort of thing mini quest come up but not able to highlight on map or not showing up completed

It may just be the counter's broken. Try doing a third helpful quest and see if it updates. If the actual quest log doesn't update, go speak to the Jarl and see if you can continue on anyway.
