How Do I Improve My House? on Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim PC Message Board - Page 1

I bought a house in Whiterun, but the place is a dump. I remember in Oblivion you can buy improvements for your houses. Does anyone know how to do it in Skyrim or is it even possible?

talk to the guy who sold you the house he has the upgrade sets you need.

Same way how it was handled in oblivion.

Thanks, but actually in Oblivion you don't get the upgrades from the person you buy the house from. You'd buy upgrades from one of the local merchants after you got the home from someone in the local lord's castle.

well this is NOT oblivion... and in SKYRIM u buy the upgrades from the npc that sold you the property !!!

In Whiterun it's the Jarl's assistant. Can't remember his name. In Dragons Reach.

Its the steward you speak to. if he is not next to the jarl go up the stairs on the right and turn left I found him up there.
