Regarding the Cheats, Cheat Codes & Hints.

To start off I would like to thank PW for trying at a trainer for this series of sims3, and it's thanks to EA for making it such a hassle in the first place.

As for a trainer not being needed in the first place, most are always looking for a cheat for lifetime points. Well here it is.

When on the main menu just press ctrl shift C, now type

testingcheatsenabled true
Go into your chosen created town, choose your sim or pet.
Open the page where you can see your lifetime points numbers, now hover your mouse between the numbers and chest, hold ctrl and click that cute little left click on your adorable mouse, watching your points shoot up 500 points per click.

As for other cheats the trainer gave you they are all available this way too, such as infinite mood for pets and sims, this is sims3 pets too by the way.

Now stop crying to PWizard about the trainers being stopped and complain to EA for making so many bugs in the first place! ^.^



P.S. ^.^

It won't work unless you enable cheats at the main menu, not during a game.

Oh and PPS
Infinite moods are available while this is all on as i'm sure some of you know, by holding shift and clicking the mailbox for your sims home. But try to keep that to a minimum if your game starts having issues with lag during infinite mood, you'll have to turn it back to dynamic and do ctrl shift C and type testingcheatsenabled false, that usually cures the lag.

This wasn't mentioned under the cheats section for lifetime rewards neither was the infinite mood for the mailbox, only changing career was written.

After you activated the cheats option of Sims3, you might have to save the game, go to the start-screen, and reload the game in order for the lifetime cheats to work.

At least, this is in my case.. so i guess i wont be the only one where this is necessary... since Sims3 is a buggy piece of **** software.

Thought i mention that, because it took me some time to find that out...

i to agree that EA made Sims 3 a bug paradise with more bugs then a roach motel. and i to understand PW/Cal's frustration with crybabies and ungrateful jerks.. as soon something breaks due to a EA fubar they troll the team at CH that the trainers don't work. and after awhile they get so tired off it they retire the game rather then spend more time then they really don't have.

Another useful tip to get lifetime points is to set up a macro on your mouse to make a button on your mouse "spam" left-click if it has the capability to do so
(I know for a fact that almost all "Gaming mice" has the ability for macros)

An example would be Razer and Logitech,
where the Razer software usually has the name of the mouse you're using and the Logitech software is called "Setpoint".

I'll be using the Razer software as an exaple,
but it should be a similar process on other mouse software as well.

What you want to do is go to "Manage Macros",
the select "New" then give it a name (eg. "Mousebutton spam" ),
then make sure your macro is selected in the dropdown menu,
then select "Start recording macro events" then press your left mouse button once and release it immediately,
then press "Stop recording macro events" and nothing else.

Congrats,
you've just made a macro!

Your next step is to assign your macro to a button on your mouse,
lets say you wish to use the scroll click button,
select "Assing buttons" then select the "Scroll click" dropdown menu,
select "Macro" then choose either of the two last "Playback options",
I usually select the last one (Toggle).

Then once you have confirmed your button change,
go into The Sims 3,
make sure you've got "testingcheatsenabled true",
then all you gotta do is hold alt and just press your "Scroll click" button,
and watch as the points rise at a steady pace.

I've gotten 500k points in just under 30 secs.

Ps. remember to press your scroll click button again once you've gotten as many points as you'd like.

Indeed, you don't need trainers for Sims 3, at all. Not for those options available, you don't. Cheats are easily accessible and grant you all that and much more. Trainers weren't needed for this one, a well filled out Cheats section would've much more than sufficed. Alas, that is free.

Thanks for elaborating on the lifetime points, fluffcat. I'd read about it on a GameFAQs thread but none of the posts that vouched for it mentioned that you hafta activate cheats on the main menu, not after loading a world. I wouldn't have guessed that. And, indeed, it does work that way, 500 points a pop whenever you click just to the right of the chest on the Lifetime Rewards tab.

Ironically, last night as I searched the web for info on this, I was able to use CoSMOS to track down the address for Lifetime points. And thus this in-game cheat became largely moot for me.
But it's always good to know, might wanna add a few points later on, though I doubt it. Half of the rewards are pointless to me, the other half make the game itself too pointless.

Well, I'm interested in the increased energy recovery, so I am able to get more done in less time. But hunger and hygiene reduced to a quarter of decay and the bladder meter removed completely? I'm not one to roleplay, but the experience then would become one of testing almost. Dealing with those needs is a core piece of the game. And it's not as if tending to them takes so much time that it becomes a chore -- unlike sleeping, which is a boring pause that you're forced to take unless you're playing two or more sims with opposing sleep schedules. More so it's a little challenge that you have to confront in progressing as much as possible throughout the day whilst keeping those needs satisfied; all the while, they further the sense of realism.

With all those EZ-mode rewards banked, you'd have this android going about that hardly has a "nature that calls for it" and to whom everything is handed. As pampered as a 5-star celeb, minus the "pesky" needs.
Hell, it's entertaining to earn cash when you actually need more, not earning a million more when you got 5 million banked. This is an example that you can apply to anything you achieve. Promotions are satisfying when you actually made an effort for them. And so on and so forth.

In conclusion, it's definitely good that a cheat for lifetime points is included, especially for folk that don't do CoSMOS and the like.

I submitted the lifetime points cheat, but who knows when and if it'll ever be added to the Cheat section.
So I'll go ahead and summarize it all here for the TL;DR crowd and the less savvy:

Press CTRL+SHIFT+C on the main menu and enter testingcheatsenabled true. Then load up your world and select your desired sim. Open the Lifetime Rewards tab on the bottom, where you see how many points you got. Note the chest near the point count. CTRL+Left-click just to the right of that chest. It's a limited area but not hard to pinpoint. You'll earn 500 points per hit.

In addition, you can enter all those cheat codes already present in the Cheat section. As well as shift+click on sims and objects for special actions, as long as cheats are enabled.
Shift+click on your mailbox for a slew of options, such as maxed moods/needs, supernatural population control and more.

No need for trainers whatsoever, folks. Enjoy your laggy experience in Sims 3.



Addendum: Speaking of lag, I've not verified that any cheat use makes the game laggy -- have never used the "infinite moods" cheat, even. But it may be being confused with lag that the game causes regardless of cheats. I find that after a few hours, I have to restart my PC, because this game devours memory like a mother! So mind that if you're afraid cheats'll lag your game
