Can we create our own MP servers? on Battlefield 3 PC Message Board - Page 1

I was just wondering if we are able to create our own servers. I wanted to try and create one today but I could not find any options that would let me. Also, will they allow bots in MP matches or do I have to play against other people?

No. You can only rent a server from a select group of approved providers.

No user hosting allowed, no lan, Origin and it's issues and the Web-ui thing they have going on, really annoys me about this.

Ther was server leaked files a while back, and as far as I know they still work, but EA released a statement saying about if anyone was found to join them, they'd be banned or something like that.

So yeah. Rent a server or play on servers preset. End off!

No wonder why ppl are angry toward the web browser based stat and game launch screen. EA had to fu*& it up.
