just what the title says I'm wondering how many companions I can have at once and if i drop them off in a populated town like Novac or Primm will they still be there if i go back to get them?

i *think* its two at once and they usually head to the spot where you recruited them or to the casino where mr house lives once you have come that far in the main quest chain. but there are mods which bypass that limit AND lets you decide where your home spot is. check the nexus network for those mods.
Since there are people who give me crap for my grammar and is to lazy to check my profile I will say it here as well. I am dyslexic so give me a break as I *TRY* to spell correctly.

i found a wiki page devoted to FNV and there it said you're allowed two if one of them's a bot.
