Personally think Blizzard are insane for banning over cheating and getting achievements, its not like it gives you any unfair advantage over other players, even though i never play online against other players in RTS games.
online RTS games against other players are just so boring and predictable, the AI, although more easier, are far less predictable, for me challenge isn't important, its the unpredictability and fun of the journey to winning or losing, while multiplayer is all about winning, if they win, they gloat, if they lose, they cry and call for nerfs, it quickly got boring.
Besides, no one really builds anymore, which is the aim of the game, they just use the basic units and rush....which is a snorefest.
I remember one of the games i played online before i just got bored of online competition was where i held back every single rush they did and i was slowly expanding my base and mining bases and i had a massive army and just took my time, attacking his supply lines, he fed up since it was taking like 40mins to play and i had yet to attack his main base, when i did, he had hardly any defences at all, i wiped him out.
But guess what, i got the victory on my stats, but other players saw that since i never won in 5mins, it was considered a draw......so i stopped playing since all players care about is quick wins, if they can't win quick, they leave.
So, all in all, pvp is severely overrated and should never, EVER be the focus point of any game developed.

I have gotten sick of multiplayer as well. I used to enjoy playing the COD mulitplayer but the online community killed it for me. The only time I play multiplayer now is with friends and no one else.
I am looking forward to The Old Republic though. I like the idea of a single player MMO.
