For anyone who purchased it with other means than Steam (Impulse or from the website) there's good news: You can activate the game through steam as well. Just go to your Games pull down menu in the sthe steam client and select "Activate a Product on Steam". Input the serial number for your copy when it asks for it and follow the instructions. Voila! Steam version of the game without having to pay again for it.

1.001 or something just got released via steam. :/
It does indeed means the trainer now crashes the game when activated.
