The open beta people were mass invited to was only chapter 1 yes, but there was a closed beta with movies and all chapters available.
I find it funny people are complaining that it was a demo, people upset that they didn't get the full game nearly for free?
D3 is superior to D2, so much more to it, people are just crying like babies cause they didn't get the full thing to play.
Was it the whole chapter 1? I thought it was "part of chapter 1"
Iam undecided at this point.
I love diablo and was looking forward to it,but,since blizzard pulled the online only card i just don't know.
I'm sure i have a while to decide,since diablo 3 won't be out until blizzard feels like releasing it.

Yes i will buy D3, i've played the beta, i've played D1 and D2, i still want it because blizzard know what they do, and about the online part... if you've ever played D2 online, you know WHY it's online only. And let's face it, who where doesn't have an internet line now'a'days? sadly but true, this is how the gaming industry is expanding its ways, and if you have to cheat to have fun in diablo, you kind of have failed already, the dying part in diablo is the funniest part, actually to know you have an extreme challenge ahead of you, and already in nightmare they have promised us, that we will die alot, so we actually have to think about our gear and skills if they are even good enough. and last but not least, everyone who have said no here, i will see you ingame at release date because we know you will be there

No it was not whole chapter 1, it was Chapter 1 part 1 of 3

Another thing you need to get right is getting the right team together when playing coop cause 4 barbarians are gonna cause some good damage, but without healing buffs, wizards superpowerful AOEs etc etc...you will just die ALOT...in fact you will die so much it will get you mad and you will blame the game, not yourself for being an idiot and gathering the wrong party
From the beta for instance i've learned that monk + wizard fit togeher perfectly.
Speaking about gear. Theres a lot of focus on gear in this game, it was almost the same in D2 but here, since you don't have stat points BUT you do have craftable gear + a way to upgrade it, much will be determined by who has the best gear.
So i look forward to seeing you in the game on the 15th.

It was a reduced chapter 1 yes, but the last guy you killed is the end boss of chapter 1.
