I thought that CoSMOS is totally free!!! But yesterday, I faced a message which was about buying CoSMOS for extremely high price. If you don't pay money, it will be very limited(Next Scan won't work anymore!!!!!!!!!!).
I found a solution to bypass this limitation. But I may violate TOS. I want to ask from Moderators if I can write this hint here.

That is weird... did you download the premium version (if one exists) instead of the standard?

Also yes don't mention what you did.

EDIT: Just downloaded 6.1 from CoSMOS.org and it is fine for me. Where did you get yours from?

From what I know, that message was/is displayed on April Fool's Day. Maybe your PC's date is wrong??

I'd suggest wiping it from your system and starting from the off again if possible; as there is the possibility the pay-to-use version you seem to have acquired may have been sabotaged.

I'm trying to remember the link to the article I was reading not so long ago, but it was based around cell groups reverse-engineering standard software to issue a "buy now" button to nick a few of your hard earned greens.

I just downloaded CE and it works fine. I agree that you should check the date on your PC. As far as I know, CE has always been free...

Yes! You are right iNTANGiBLE. Cuz when I changed the date, I didn't see that message anymore!!!

So you had April First as your date ? wow how come you didn't notice....its August around where i live :P
