Ahh, that would be it then...I did try installing the .net files, well, at least, the ones that research indicated should be installed....but if it's a component from IE, then it won't matter what I do haha!!

FWIW - I just tried it in a VM running Windows 7 (with IE) and it still crashed exactly the same point - when it does the authenticating bit. Like it cannot contact the CH servers or something....I might try an offline version.
EDIT: Nope didn't work either

Now here's an interesting thing - I found a test version of this trainer at a site called Trainers City - it came with this text message.....and it ran! No dramas, well apart from the fact the option didn't work (as in no guns overheat) but it did have the voice-over "activated" - so what is the difference between this test one and the full one?
