The patch (Retail/D2D)definitely made a dramatic improvement for me. I did not have any major issues, but only was getting 40FPS on Ultra (minus ubersampling), but no it is a solid 60. I am only running GTX285 sli so I am now very happy with the patch. But please note the trainer activates but seems to fail for unlimited vigor.

I read from the official website about the patch that this game now DRM-free.

Here is what it said: "The installation program will ask you for an activation code. However, as the game is now DRM-free, you can enter anything in the relevant field. Installation and patching will proceed automatically. No further activation will be required."

Is this true?

I would think thats for games already activated... not for people who have it pirated.

Never mind looks like I'll stick with the unpatched verison seeing as I didn't have too many problems with it

Well, it turns out to be true...this game is DRM-free with patch 1.1...

At least according to this Link
