Trainers don't generally work by regional versions, though there are a few exceptions. In this case, though, the only differences is the distribution method by which you got the game.

since the aus version had to be altered so was thinking the trainers wouldnt work but i did download the steam version of the trainer. It would say activated when i hit F1 on main menu then in game it would say avtivated when i used a cheat but none of the cheats worked.

the trouble shoot guide didnt help at all cheats still dont work even though it says activated
