Witcher 2, The - Assassins of Kings Discussion
Trainer Tools and Resources
I have retail version which automatically updated to version 126.96.36.199. However this version of game wasn't working (didn't start at all), so I read on forums I should use hotfix exe to 188.8.131.52. I copied this exe, game works fine, but trainers do what i described earlier.
Well, from that detail, my guess is there's an issue between the trainer and the hotfix. Did you add that game to your Steam games? What was the hotfix meant to fix anyway, in game scanning for cheats or something? Or a No-CD/DVD patch? What version of Windows do you use? Did you upgrade to IE10 or 11?
I got mine from Steam and never did a hotfix of any kind. You might want to PM or email Caliber or PWiz about this issue and ask them. Give them as much detail as you can. They might, or might not, ask you to send your Exe file to look at, I'm not for sure.
Btw, did the trainer work for the first half of Chap 1? Curious how you got that far with it.

I use Windows 7 64bit.
Trainer didn't work for this version from the start, I just wasn't using it...
Install clean then activate on Steam and it should get Syeam's updates applied to it then.
I hoped I might be able to help ya since I'm playing the game but since none of this got you running, you might want to email PWiz (Chris) and ask him about it: email@example.com
