That is why I always go for intel+nvidia configs in my comps... most games are compatible with them, not that ATI isn't good or anything (just to avoid any flames) but over the years I see more nvidia compatible games than ATI along with the starting "nvidia the way its meant to be played logo thingy...) maybe it's that nvidia pays more money to game companies I dunno...

nVidia users are having their fair share of issues too. I'd hate to be experiencing some user's unresolvable poor performance. By comparison the resolution glitch is minor.

I'm an nVidia guy myself, but even nVidia has its issues. Luckily for me I haven't had any with this game.

I'm really hoping I haven't just jinxed myself.

"The way it's meant to be played" is basically just paid advertisement meant to get you to think exactly that. Nobody remembers the Geforce FX series fiasco with pixel shader support and DX9c...
These days there's nothing in it, arguing is pointless, these fanboy arguments pop-up all over the place and on some forums will even get you banned, with good reason. Might as well argue flavours of ice cream or what the best colour is.

Pretty much. But then you get fanboys arguing over anything and everything. I think people just enjoy arguing.

"The way it's meant to be played" isn't a boast or advertisement though. It's just a slogan, like "Just do it" for Nike, or "Your potential. Our passion." for Microsoft.

If you disable all effects and set the buffer to medium, performance should be good regardless of resolution. My crossfire setting (5770x2) gives good fps during gameplay and decent fps during cutscenes.

I only owned (back in 2003) one ATI card in my life and although I don't question the quality, I hated the driver support.
