Crysis 2 Message Board  

Console works fine for me BUT when you type in any of the cheat codes listed above I get the "unknown command" message after pressing Enter. Anybody have any ideas?

Which .cfg file do you edit with the codes?

you can run the game in devmode this will do the trick also few commands you can add in system.cfg file

con_restricted=0
sv_cheatprotection=0
g_infiniteammo=1
g_infinitesuitenergy=1
g_inventoryNoLimits=1

commands does not work in original crysis 2



shows as con_restricted=0 RESTRICTED
shows as sv_cheatprotection=0
shows as g_infiniteammo=0 even if you typed =1 its changed back to =0 after game is started
shows as g_infinitesuitenergy=0 even if you typed =1 its changed back to =0 after game is started
shows as g_inventoryNoLimits=0 even if you typed =1 its changed back to =0 after game is started

i tried them in system.cfg as well as autoexec.cfg

Hi mate,

Haven't tried the console mode for this yet but for the changes you said in the cfg file that gets overided did you try making the file 'read only'?

Haven't tried it myself but thought it might be worth a try.

What does one type in the console, to say, activate God Mode?

g_godMode?

Funny, the console works for me without any launch switches or the like. That said, none of these command do anythin other than result in an error message:

con_restricted=0
sv_cheatprotection=0
g_infiniteammo=1
g_infinitesuitenergy=1
g_inventoryNoLimits=1
g_godmode=1

Tried it ingame and in both cfg files.... hmm, the beta version had to be fed with a cfg file placed elsewhere, will check that one out.

man the console isn't working, even after patch 1.1, do i need to move the file patch.pak elsewhere or something??
