    I bought Homefront this morning and played it. It sucks! I would describe it as an incredibly cheap Black Ops clone.

    The graphics are horrible, the weapons are fairly lame.
    The campaign is short and pretty bland, see "Very Generic, Fight the Oppressors Scenario"

    I couldn't connect to multiplayer, some sort of server error.

    I think they really rushed this game.

    You never buy a game cause of graphics.. most people do which ticks me off..

    I bought crysis of the graphics dose that tick you off. its the only game that taxed my computer. I hated multiplayer be the game was awesome. to flakmonkey horrible graphics are you kidding me the game looks and plays realy good not bf3 but not horrible. The campaign is short and pretty bland, see "Very Generic, Fight the Oppressors Scenario" should read "see every fps ever made" You Should play more then 2 fps befor you comment on other games. IMHO gamer for 20 years!

    Considering the development and hype I had much higher expectations for this game - unfortunately I feel disappointed with this title as well. What I specifically don't like is the linear gameplay - lack of exploration (because of small map sizes) - and the relatively sparse plot. I would rate Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising similar to this game, however OFP: DR lets you explore more of the battlefield and has secondary and optional objectives.

    Someone could easily setup a similar mod for ARMA 2 which would blow this out of the water. I would have thought this game was cool in about 2006 - then games started getting much better - stories were more involved with a more complex plot and game play started to allow for exploration and character selection - not to mention nonlinear stories. About the only thing I can appreciate about this game is the graphics - which are on par for modern games.

    I play primarily for single player, or if done correctly I'd also play multiplayer (e.g. cooperative campaigns, coop battle). Competitive multiplayer is usually owned by some teenager who has Ultra-ADHD and a twitchy trigger finger - making it suck for everyone who hasn't got the time to become an expert keyboard/gamepad marksman in a specific title.

    In short - as the original poster said - save your money - or better yet buy a game like ARMA 2 or one of the Fallout games and have a ball.
    A good death is every bit as important as a good life.

    why is everyone saying this game is bad based on their singleplayer experience? Bad Company 2 had a ****ty SP imo and i dont see anyone bashing that game. Homefront's multiplayer is actually quite refreshing, feels like what it would be like if World in Conflict was an FPS. The thought that players have to "earn" their vehicles is nice, and to counter a camper is quite easy. Drones are your friends people. Dont try to kill a guy in a corner by yourself, but buy a drone and gun his ass down. If anyone here wants to play Homefront MP wit me hit me up on steam. Id have to actually agree with the fact the game isn't all its cracked up to be. Its just another FPS with the same guns, the same tactics, and not a very interesting plot line in my opinion. This is the first time ive even taken time to write about a game before and I started gaming with the large floppy disc's, thats how much I was disappointed with the game. Maybe my expectations were too high, I thought I was going to get to actively resist a occupying force, not just follow a generic FPS plot, was hoping for more freedom and setting up my own ambushes and disrupting supply lines, not just the typical follow this guy, shoot the baddies, follow some more, shoot some more oooo games over. 6/10 from me, the plot was suppose to be one of the best parts of the game and all I thought about was when am I going to start caring about these people? and it never happened.

    yup just like red dawn setting up ambushes and disrupting supply lines.the game has the right idea but did not even close to go far enough,could have been sooo much better.its like they were half way through and some one told them to wrap it up and throw it on the shelves for sale.

    How is this game a cheap black ops clone when it has more features to it?

    @WESTMANT
    That ticks me off though. Why would you buy a game for graphics really? To admire how beautiful it looks on your 1 million dollar computer? Seriously people, have some moral as a gamer...
