Regarding the Mega Trainer (Patch #13 - v1.5/1.6), $999.999 Gold, Unlimited Movement, ....

I recently downloaded this most-updated trainer to begin playing again, however, after I download the file and extracted the trainer will not run.
It does nothing right after I attempt to open it, and if I set it to "Run as Administrator" I get this message:

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

I have all firewalls and AV programs disabled or off when I download the file. I am running Windows 7, 64-bit.

I get the same problem and error message when I download and attempt to use the Trainer Manager, but I am able to download and use other trainers fine (for example: the most recent trainer for NBA 2k11).

Any help here would be most appreciative, thanks!

Is this after your AV false-positived the trainer?

If so it may still be stuck in limbo so to speak.

Set the trainer in your exceptions list in your AV settings.

No, my AV never false-identified the trainer. I had started turning the AV off before downloading a long time ago just in case. If its any more help, the icon next to the trainer isn't the same as other trainers. All the trainers I download from CH have the little CH icon, but this E:TW doesn't.

I downloaded the trainer and ran it, and it works fine for me.

Are you sure its not being blocked by anything AV, even some anti-spyware programs have the potential to block it. Including Windows Defender.

Only other option I can give you is to re-download the trainer to a different folder and try again.

    Afternooooon

Tried all of the above, as I'm using windows 7 64bit. Having the same issue, even through a new Folder.

All norton firewall, AV is switched off, Windows Firewall is off. Read through the FAQs and set the compatibility etc and Run as Admin...

    Anymore suggestions?

    Jack

Make a folder on your HDD, and call it trainers or something else you want, and go into your Antivirus program's options and set the whole folder to be excluded from scans and download the trainer to there, and then open and see how it goes.
