It's retail sales. No wonder you cherry picked that figure out of the actual figures. Retail sales figures only accounts for brick and mortar stores and completely factors out online distribution sales of video games as well as social media games which is a huge emerging market (see Zynga and see the direction of Blizzard and the new Rift MMO).
So yes, I am going to deny your articles because you chose laughably flawed articles on old analyst information when the new information, especially that presented at the most recent GDC shows PC gaming is on the rise while console gaming is in decline.
And where is your proof and data?
You can continue to sit there and deny all day, but it is not worth squat until you produce figures.

If for some reason in the US, sales online managed to make another $8.5B then fair enough, but I highly doubt this is the case.

Personally I'm disappointed with the monotonous storyline and the fact that I can't seem to care about the characters.
When I had first played DA:O, my first recollection of it was that I simply did NOT want to stop playing, simply to see what what going to happen. I don't get that same feeling here...at the moment I have a "I can take it or leave it" mindset, which for ANY RPG, imho, can't be a good thing.
It's wholly possible that it was rushed to market without much forethought on the RPG element and possibly kow-towing to the console population. Here, I feel directionless and almost without purpose.
I sincerely WANT to love this game, but at the moment I can only like it, and that is sporadic.
You know, I feel the same way. The story didn't grab me in the same way as DAO. Not once did I feel like I wanted to call in sick from work, just to stay home and play the game, hahahaha!
Most really great games are able to "make" you "want" keep playing, and when you've completed the game, to play it all over again. It's addictive. I get no sense of that with DA2.
But, some people love DA2.

Thats nice mate, but compare it to worldwide console games sales :P
You will see its pretty much higher.
Cause if Worldwide PC games sales is $16.2B and US sales alone for console games is around the $10B mark, you know you have to get ready for a big ouch for the overall figures for the console games :P
