I'm loving it so far. They took most of the things that annoyed me about DAO and fixed or improved them on DA2.

I didn't wear headgear on DAO because I hated having things covering up my hero's face, and there was no option to turn off headgear. In DA2, there is, so I can wear headgear and get the stat bonuses without annoying myself that I can't see my hero's head.

I also love that the Mabari is a summonable companion now, and doesn't take up a party slot.

And I love that the hero actually speaks. It's not implied conversations by a menu of sentences.

And I love that there's same-sex male relationship possibilities now (yes, I'm gay, and yes I was bummed that there wasn't any in DAO without user-made mods).

The main thing I don't like so far is that the unlockable items seem to have heavily favored to warriors. There's only a few Mage items, and Rogues got pretty much left out (only one bow in the bunch that I have, and no daggers at all, that I know of).

I played rogue for the first playthrough and there were plenty of good daggers.

The saddest part out of all this is that even though all the old school BioWare fans are upset at the awful story, David Gaider (the writer) pretty much gave all of the fans the big middle finger and said they didn't care what the fans thought.

There was ALOT of problems with DAO, when people say that it was better as it was, i just don't see it.

I find DA2 far superior to DAO.

I just cant see that at all. To me DAO looks so superior to DA2. The graphics in DA2 are to non human like now in my book. Scenery graphics are meh and I have done studies on many games for my course to see the difference. Fighting to me bugs me and as some one else pointed out earlier which I never looked at death kills. Thats not even in DA2.

Also some one else stated castle vainia never played but got my mate to play it for me while I watched over live stream. Now many things taken out of that.

To me jumping 5 foot in the air with a huge sword has taken the game out of the point that even is close to a realist view.

To me there is a point you should not cross with rpg's of this type and they have and its just killed it for me. Bioware has always had my backing with its games. But if I had to rate it outta 5 its a 2.5 outta 5 from me. If a percentage I would say 45%

There is a lot more on this game that should have been done extremely better and even tho DLC's add some more to it. I do not see them really boosting the game anymore.

Rushed shortened and just done concentrating on the console players. To my view on games for pc and consoles they should be done separately. Why? Making something for a console to have it on a pc no. PC can provide much more. The base came from there and one should be done soley on pc and one for consoles. To suit those who play what. No doubt my comment might start up the war that has been going on with pc and consoles. I have a 360 and an old ps2. I rented out DA2 on the 360. But even on there. Niggles I got from the PC bugged me on there to.

I am sorry. Al stop posting on this matter as its just to much of a loss to me.

I blame EA! I'm a total bioware fanboy but this is a EA game with Bioware on the box. Talk about disappointing.

You could with Zevran. If you was nice to him, and got him his shoes and gloves as gifts.

I didn't take it further when I played the game, when he suggested I was like "Stop right there criminal scum" (funny line from Oblivion)

You know my views on the life of PC Gaming, and you can see the console influences more and more these days with big titles.

It is a shame as you rightfully said the PC can be so much better, but... we all the know what major factor is pushing developers towards the console market :P
