Yes I do, because SH 4 doesn't work on my laptop.

Try to go to the /data/Cfg/ folder and opening the "Basic" file. The easiest thing to do here is increasing the amount of spare torpedos your ship starts with, but there's other stuff in it as well. That's pretty much as far as I've gotten with cheating myself as the pizzadox trainer keeps getting blown by my firewall.

Yes, there are still a lot of fans who play Silent Hunter III.
I just set up the game once again on my PC.
(Total loss of a raid volume, but thats an other story)

I strongly recommend to get one of the popular mod packs for the game.
My personal favorite mod is "Living Silent Hunter III" (Right now with version 5.1). Oh, and it is also available in english.

If you want to "upgrade" the game in a massive way, there will be no way around.
Of course there are still a lot more of big mod packs for the game. Just search at subsim.com Link
Here you will also find a lot of hints for the gameplay.

bonjour, je ne parle pas l'anglais je me sert de la traduction web, dans le fichier sh3/data/basic , allez dans la recherche et tapez speed, mettre 1.85 pour modifi‚ la vitesse du soumarin sur les moteur, et dans basic toujour rechercher la ligne AP pour modifi‚ les nombre de cartouche disponible que vous desirez, attention ,pas un gros chiffre sinon ;vous ne pourrez plus changez les munition seul les aa et ap marcherons pas les obus eclairant, et dans le fichier submarine chercher la ligne (StormConditions=15,1;max wind speed [m/s], max rain intensity [0,1)] et remplacer 15.1 par 99.1 pour tir‚ par tous les temps sauf vent et pluie trop forte (par contre moi je cherche une astuce pour autorise mon sousmarin a tir‚ jusqu'à 10 000 metre quel fichier c'est, svp?)en attente de ma demande pour le dek-gun merci d'avance

I discovered Silent Hunter 2 &3 about a year ago in a discount bin at Staples. Never played sh1, zipped through sh2 and I'm currently loving sh3. Purchased sh4 but, alas, my graphics card doesn't quite support it. I'll eventually upgrade. In the meantime, YES, I play almost daily. The only cheats I know of is the one already posted here that lets you max your renown. Most everything can be had legitimately though except the XXI. At 30000 points, I've never been able to save enough to get one. legally that is. The only hints I can provide were given to me by Captain Edward Beach, "Run Silent, Run Deep".
