post it on the bioware forums, you may get more help on the official site than you would at a cheating site

You can't give companions armor in this game, only jewelry and weapons. You will find armor upgrades for them though.

According to the manual, you will find upgrades for your companions and they will automatically be equipped. You don't have to do anything.
