This doesn't seem to work for steam?

Anyone able to help us steam users work the console? Doing the mentioned trick by adding "-enabledeveloperconsole" in the target line of the shortcut didn't work with the steam release.

Cannot force console on steam, not even by launching from the steam apps folder with command line. I wonder how they managed to screw that one up, its the first time I've had a release (non-repackaged) steam game not using the same launch options as a disc version.

Just make a shortcut to your actual DA2 .exe in you steam apps from your desktop. Or rather create the shortcut within Steam. Steam is going through DA Launcher - that is why your consoles will not work.

Did you all enable the KEY BIND as well? A lot of bad details here. I'm on the steam one myself and its working fine (but im not using tilde).

What exactly do you mean enable the KEY BIND, I thought the Tild key "` grave" was setup already

Also no matter what .exe I find in the steam folder "DragonAge2 / DragonAge2Config" they all seem to load the launcher before hand.

mine was already enabled for the grave button, but it's not working still. I create a shortcut from steam or the folder itself, still loads the launcher
