A little off topic here, but no point it starting another one RE the demo. After about an hour in, I am experiencing a random crash. My temps are low, and nothing points towards my hardware or drivers. Perhaps it is the game itself or STEAM crashed. Has anyone else had crashing issues. Mine occurred when attempting to select my cavalry units for flanking in the second 3D battle.
That is the smartest thing I have ever heard anyone say about anything.

No I haven't had that problem. In regards to the demo, definetly a good look into the game. There is one historic battle, although I diddn't understand the concept of it. If you were suppose to do something or you were meant to lose. You start off with 3 allies, one larger ally and one very small one. Faced off a very large enemy.

During the time it took for the enemy to march up to my lines. I get a message that my smaller ally refuses to fight and that the larger ally is a traitor and is now siding with the enemy. The enemy already out numbers you and out classes you, in addition to having a chicken of a ally and now having to face another enemy that almost equals your own forces in addition to the armada of enemy already coming at you. It was really weird. Than there is a tutorial campaign that gives you a nice look at what the campaign is going to look like. The agents are a pest though, got this one agent type that keeps spawning rebelions if my provinces. A real trouble to deal with and my ninjas don't have enough rank to assassinate them. Either way, good look into the gameplay.

thats the monk that causes the rebellion, use the diplomat guy to stop it, he raises the loyalty of the province and such that he is in, also the use the ninja on the fortress in the province that he is in and there is a criminal network choice, I think it said that it stops religious rebellions.

It is supposed to happen. Actually CA did a number on us by making us play the side which historically lost the battle. Badly.

But it's possible to turn it around. I won a costly victory on the second try by re-arranging the entire setup to how I thought best. The default positioning of your units is horrible, but you have to move fast before the Tokugawa attack. And your stretched units have to be ready to respond to the betrayal of your allies.
