Just do as it says in the trainerinstructions:

Numpad +: Add/Sub Paragon - enter Squad Window at least once and then you can press
this key to add more paragon to your character. Hold shift and press this
key to subtract paragon. You will have to leave the Squad Window and come
back to see it has changed.

Also you have to hold down Shift together and press the + or - button to subtract Paragon or Renegade.
