I can't download any trainers my BitDefender IS 2011 blocks my attempts to download them. I even had several trainers downloaded in the past and when I tried to open the folder they were in BD deleted them. I gather this a false positive but how do I download trainers and use them without disabling my anti-virus?

The "trojan" detected seems to be random name such as
    Gen:Trojan.Heur.JP.Nu0@a4BoWdji

I suppose I can live with disabling my AV while downloading, then cut off the internet and then leave my AV off while playing the game. That is if it is a false positive.

Add the trainer as an exception if your AV supports that.

Bit Defender has an Exclusion list for files but I'd still have to kill my AV to download trainers first before I can add them to the exclusions. I'll turn off my AV to download only if there's no risk. So do you suspect the "trojan" warning is a false positive?

Trojan warnings are definitely false positives. Most trainers here are custom made by a professional team, so no worries. Also, any submitted files are scanned before an administrator manually approves them.
