Everyone has some great ideas, but I'm more curious about when we can expect the trainer.

Well they're usually **** hot in their trainer posting speeds, so I wouldn't worry about that. Probably a day or two from the point of release, if that, (Considering it's a major release) would be my guess.

In terms of what i'm after, pretty much what others have said, though in all honesty i'd be perfectly happy with just a money option and a 'level up' button for all characters.

After playing the demo campaign a few times, i've found the enemy agents to be an enormous pain in the arse, especially those damned metsuke. Literally gets to a point where all their agents are so godlike that nothing you throw at them works. Being able to level up my guys, if it were possible to do so, would be absolutely brilliant.

If it's possible CH, please make it happen. You will automatically get my money!

Since is Shogun TW and it happened to me in the 1st, i'd like to suggest an option to instant have a son, so if the Damyo dies we are always cover, i don't like to have a 120 year old character.
Another option is to freeze the age of the Damyo. But i think that the game has a very low, but still its possible chance of your Damyo to die.

I think that an option for the tech tree and another for the especial resources is not a bad idea.

i would say that having the ability to rank up your generals and agents would be one of the most useful cheats, so that would really be great if it is placed in the trainer

It appears that options from existing total war trainers seem to be the best way to go:
One turn reserach, recuitment and construction
Increase/Decrease characters' skill level
Unlimited movement on the campain map
Unlimited Currency and Food
Auto-Win
