Could someone give me directions on how to find my way to the police station so I can begin the quest to recruit the Asari. I've tried following the map in the game but I find it confusing. Thank you in advance for your help it is much appreciated,

The police station is in the place between the markets where you start and the other markets, where you can find star charts, weapon upgrades and miscellaneous items. If you go into the tunnel underneath Liara's office, you will first encounter a Salarian complaining about his generational archives or something. The police station is right across from him in that same big room.
