The Joker said it best in the Dark Knight when he said to Batman, "I don't want to kill you! What would I do without you? Go back to ripping off mob dealers? No, no, NO! No. You... you... complete me."

Super villains need their heroes, and heroes need super villains.

A lot of super villains are so close to being super heroes as well which intrigues me.

So many of them have the abilities for great heroism and the same level of passion that drives heroes also drives a lot of villains too. It just takes one thing which tips them over to the 'Dark side' and I often find myself thinking that if super heroes were smarter they'd be able to turn more villains to the 'Light side'.

As most super heroes have battled their dark sides (or still do) and won, they are the best qualified to help out lol.

wow this is a whole new perspective on villainous intellect. true...super heroes fight their own demons most of the time to stay on the side of good.

I was rather hoping to just lurk around but I figured I might as well throw in my two cents.

I like villains. Without villains, there wouldn't be heroes. I mean, sure the heroes do all the rescue an old lady from a fire or catch the robbers, but villains are what really makes them heroes.

Also, the villains are almost always much more interesting. They always have some sort of background the made them do the things that they do. Something that tipped them over to the dark side. And you can't help but feel sorry for them, because such stories can relate to anyone. Anyone could've contributed to creating that villain.

Villains have a driving force, a motive, a reason while heroes are being heroes just because.
