i think the steam version has updated, the game crashes with me too, the .exe now appears as a 1.0.2.0 version

i have the retail version on Win 7 64bit, just run the trainer from my CH trainer folder by right clicking, choose RUN AS ADMIN and once it authenticates, i fire up my game, and tap F1 during the creds. this game is cool, i remember the orig in '98 and the trainer makes this game sooooo much fun.

no CTD here, possible your AV/security software is intercepting the trainer, but it does work fine. check your Event logs under Admin Tools in the Control Panel, any RED x's in the application log will indicate what crashed and why.

Mine used to crash to, so here is how I got it working on the Steam version running Win 7 64 bit.

First right click on the trainer and go to properties. In compatibility mode set run as administrator.

Do not start the trainer at this time.

Start Steam, then start the the game. Once the game is started and at the main menu, press alt+tab to go to your desktop. (A folder or another program like a web browser must be open.)

Start the training telling yes/ok when asking if you want to run.

Wait for trainer to say game found.

Click on your game at the bottom of the screen, or press alt+tab until back at the game.

That is how I get it to work.

Running the latest trainer steam version .

im having the same problems with version 1.5.0 go to main menu press f1 to activate it will freeze for 5 seconds than says game stop working have windows 7 ultimate 64 bit os

i tired what this guy said to do but it didn't work i tried the latest trainer for version 1.5.0 didn't work tried the oldest and newest steam version and all the older version 1.0 1.3.0 1.4.0 try all of them do not work i haven't tired it offline tho i unplug my internet and it works i see why if not must be the game not taking the trainers only game i know that doesn't work with trainers

You definetly have version 1.5 though? And what is the crash message you get?

Same problem here. It just "stops responding", and it throws me back on my desktop.

I play offline, not online.

It wouldn't surprise me if the game senses the trainer and forcefully kills itself. I use the activation "fix".

Please note our trainer is for 1.0.5.0 STEAM version. If you have a different ver of 1.0.5.0 please send it and we can examine it.
