Awesome suggestions. I've not played about two games on those mentioned.

    (Already pre-ordered DA 2)

But yeah. Right now we are playing The Witcher.. well I am, my wife thinks its sexist lol.

Seriously underestimated it, it absorbs time like crazy, the storyline is interesting, and keeps you going all over the place(at least for me). Right now im on chapter II, and its incredibly task-filled. Not to mention some of the mods are pretty good.

Anyway, thank you all for your recommendations. Next in my playlist would be Oblivion, my pc couldn't handle it b4, but now that I've improved it quite a bit ill try it again. Then after that KOTOR 2. Hopefully that will tie my over to January-Feb. and then just a month wait till DA 2.

An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Keep in mind that the engine that runs Oblivion is the same as for Vegas and Fallout 3 (Oblivion was its first use). Having said that, most of the commands in the console in Oblivion are about the same as in the Fallouts after its release.

My first recommendation would have been The Witcher, but thankfully I am not the only one to enjoy the game. You may wish to persuade your wife to give the game another shot. She is missing a great game due to a minute aspect of the game.

One of my other recommendations would be Divine Divinity II (aka Divinity II: Ego Draconis aka Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga). It has no real romance to speak of, but this game far exceeded the reviews it received.

An older RPG, but still well worth playing (if you have not played it already) is Fable: The Lost Chapters. Again, no romance though. Come to think of it... it would seem to me that romantic drama is a really a fairly new trend.

Hell, now that I am weighing in... I am curious if anyone else has some RPGs outside of the aforementioned to recommend. I am always scouring for them old and new.
That is the smartest thing I have ever heard anyone say about anything.
