well i would say that overall board activity has been declining for the past 2 years, but the amount of members that use the site seems steady with 1000+ members on at any given time.

That happens from time to time, until someone comes and makes a few interesting threads and activity rises again..
Trust is a fragile thing. Once trust is lost, it can be impossible to recover. Those we're closest to can betray us,and total strangers can come to our rescue. In the end, most people decide to trust only themselves. It really is the simplest way to keep from getting burned.
